Absolute hilarity. Nonsense. Danny Thomas, unrelated to this little girl, is semi-fathering Margaret O’Brien for no reason we know of. Margaret, unlike her usual war-orphan self, turns for some reason into a stalker who accidentally ruins someone’s life. Utterly entertaining. Also, why are all these little girls who have little to no ballet training on literal pointe? Fun for all the family.

Interesting movie about Margaret O’Brien as, you guessed it, another orphan. She plays her part with gusto and many tears, and Danny Thomas is also there and is super sweet. We get some fun dance numbers, misogyny and classism, and Margaret in strife as only Margaret can be. There’s custody issues (as she has no parent), and the ending is incredibly strange yet sweet. A fun romp into the world of yesteryear. A funky 2 AM watch for sure!
