exactly what i thought it was gonna be but not much else. the run time absolutely flew by, aided by some slick direction and writing and the performances are entertaining enough to keep all interested. but i got the sense everyone left wanting more. either leaning more into it’s niche audience and full sending into the deep end or following through with the perspective change up towards the end for a little while longer may have paid off more. besides that, zola provides a fresh and fun 90mins that is sure to entertain.
