disastrous in the first act, gets it together halfway through to the end, in every moment it feels like they’re on the edge of touching something deeper but won’t wade in.
by the end, i could see how the script was strong enough for this to get made. poor directing/editing choices in the beginning to set up the story, bad casting / directing of channing tatum - didnt believe him as this charming guy who sweeps the main character off her feet, needed more coherence and relationships between characters throughout.
but whoever edited that trailer deserves all the flowers. that was cleannnnn
