He's never not the creep from the Great Muppet Caper.

Somehow missed this movie entirely when it came out. A shame because it's so well done. Just sort of floated under the radar.

Like Lee's photos, I think this Director showed so many small moments and details only a woman would include. It made Lee feel so relatable.

    Well done!

There's a lot of really talented people behind this movie. Angelo Badalamenti composed some of the music. Fred Roos produced. Oscars nominees, Emmy winners, it's kind of nuts for an indie.

It has a real 80s adventure fantasy, storybook, Never-ending Story/Labyrinth vibe to it which there hasn't been something that feels that way in a long time. Tangible and cavernous, dramatically lit sets and practical FX and puppeting creatures and things.

I'm glad to see kind of a throwback fairytale featuring two young girls, as well. It's rare.

    It's fun! Feels nostalgic.

In the Q&A after the Director said the original prints screened in theaters were 7 layers of degradation from the original negative to have color pieces. So it's now, finally, full resolution and real b&w.

    Wild.

Another really interesting thing he said was that the wall was all around them. East Berlin was in all directions. So it was…
