watched this while hemming some trousers and it did the job and then some. when it was fun it was rly fun (anything about rly specific new york ethnic groups im kinda automatically in) but it missed the mark on what to leave out and what to include about anora's character and when to do that imo.
i wish this imageless film had also been sound-less, cast-less, screen-less and audience-less…. fuck my actual life
what a treat man. i've already been thinking about family secrets + information that parents choose not to pass on to their children so this rly resonated. those scenes in the photography studio made me feel so much love for humanity i could have walked out and just embraced strangers on the street. also the purley family has the old school london vibe that rly reminded me of my next door neighbours growing up.
