A decent chinese movie about family connections of two siblings from different mothers that takes place in the US.

The movie portrayed the multicultural identity of the States and the majority of the actors did a decent job, despite the fact that the sctipt was mainly in English, which wasn't their native language.

The story had some emotional moments and touching elements and it did try to be realistic, however many times in failed with things happening out of nowhere…

Μonster is being advertised as a Hirokazu Koreeda film and indeed it is directed -splendidly as always- by him. However, the man behind the script is Sakamoto Yuji, the person that wrote Soredemo, Ikite Yuku (Still, Life Goes On) and if you have seen that series, then you know that Monster is not going to be just a good film, but it will stay with you for a while.

I don't think I can explain how good this movie is…

    "Thank you for being born"

Once again a film about found family by Hirokazu Koreeda. A film that didn't really feel like it was made by him.
Not as good as some of his previous work, but a great addition with some great acting and some emotional scenes.

After reading multiple reviews and comments by different people, trying to explain to the best of their abilities the movie with all the subtle elements that make it a masterpiece, I understand why many viewers found it to be such a great film.

The masterclass of this film fully depends on its viewers and how -and if- they will be able to interpret it, if we can say that there is one definite interpretation.

    I won't deny that reading all…
