  Hard for me to stomach mistreatment of innocent creatures for pleasurable gain. Easily captivated me to hate the villains in a similar way to Okja and Snowpiercer. I really need to see Memories of Murder and the Host.

  The baba was indeed, oni.

  Seriously tho, very interesting film with a great deal of depth. There are few moments where you can see the seams in the construction of the film, like when a dead body is clearly an actor playing dead… and playing it badly. But besides that, the film is quite well made. Its not showing off, making the most complicated shots in the film blend together so well that i only realized the complexity on think-back.…

  Pretty damn good film, this was.

  The first Act of the film, with all its swashbuckling action and creative choreography for the adventure was very reminiscent of classic Indiana Jones. I really enjoyed the sets, the costumes (especially Jack Sparrow’s), they felt both of the time and stylistic for the film.

  I appreciated that Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly’s characters were actually interesting and compelling to watch as they went along this journey.

  Yeah, nah.

  If you removed all the musical sequences in the movie, you’d change nothing about this movie, not it’s story nor it’s emotional poignancy. The musical segments aren’t shot in any interesting or compelling way that I will remember into the future, nor is it connected to the narrative in a lyrical or visual way.
