Well. This would have been a completely average movie, maybe a little subpar, for a typical science fiction show that had otherwise not put any effort into its world-building or character development. Average trash, in other words.
HOWEVER, they've gone and taken some random science fiction story and slapped the Star Trek badge on it, thinking that this would provide some cover. That this would bring along some well-established world-building. That this would provide the well-established character development upon which…
While most people would understandably pick Alien or Aliens as the better movie over this one, it is a bit of a different tale being spun here that I think is pretty great as well. Note, however, that I’m thinking here of the variant of the movie with the ox, not the dog, which is a remarkably different cut of the movie.

A movie about time travel that is substantially more confusing than Tenet. Very low budget. Very cerebral.
