Victoria Abril excellent as per usual. The film made no sense from the second half, we laughed a lot. The true twist at the end was to see Miguel Bosé appear suddenly.
But maybe the biggest twist is that Josiane Balasko who played a butch lesbian, directed the film and wrote it, and I thought was definitely a lesbian is in fact apparently straight!!! Wild stuff.
Living abroad, watching this movie, and on top of that in basque, particularly moved me. Basque is not my mother tongue, but I was lucky enough to learn it to fluency in school, and I thoroughly enjoyed this. I will be watching more basque movies.
This kind of story is never told. We see queer love stories of struggles, of misunderstanding... However, this movie tells the love story that never happened, and that is given another chance many years later.…
