  Surprisingly not as emotionally devastating as I expected. The performances and cinematography were amazing, there was such a quietness to each scene that felt like an accurate representation of real life. I was completely hooked and was enjoying watching the characters interact with each other rather than waiting for something to happen.

  Maybe a hot take but I particularly loved the scene between Nora and Arthur in their bedroom. Very vulnerable, and an interesting look into how in some ways…

  160 minutes of people trying to fuck Tom Cruise. This was very strange and mysterious, and a much different approach to Kubrick's analysis of humanity. I think there was an interesting critique/commentary on the underlying sexualization of everything in our society, and how it can overshadow things like death, danger, fear, etc. So many scenes in this movie were inappropriately sexual (i.e. the patient death visit, the visit to Nick's hotel, the costume shop, the morgue visit), but in a…
