There’s a shortage of perfect films in this world. It would be a pity to damage this one.
There are five films that I consider to be the best, the most perfect, the most pure, but The Princess Bride leaves them all behind. I believe this movie is objectively infallible and amazing. Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, true love… never has a film so effortlessly blended action, adventure, comedy, and romance together. This is one of the least family-friendly family movies out there, but still fine for kids and amazing for adults. If you hate this movie, you hate joy.
