This film is BARKING mad!!!
I kind of enjoyed it, lot to love but lot to unfortunately dislike. I think it’s at its best when it’s not trying to be what it thinks it is and just allows itself to be insanely creative. There is fantastic set pieces, camera work, practical effects, an amazing performance by Andrew Garfield in my opinion, outstanding sound design, and a deep inspiration from the likes of Hitchcock and a bit of lynch too. CLUMP & THUD, THUD, THUD. 2024
A clump is a nasty possession one could carry. A dark part of yourself which is foreign to you and those around you. Noises irritate you, people can bug you, life can lack light. You walk this road in search of release. You forgive yourself and light finds you. Light breaks though your window and finally morning has come, just like it always does.
Saw this at the director Adam Kelleher’s screening and had a great time! It’s a pleasure to witness new things and projects by someone I know cares very deeply for them. Can’t wait to see what he does next. :))
