i really enjoyed kingsleys performance however there was something missing in the storyline and it felt incomplete.

Gangs of New York 2002
This film is exactly what I would consider film making and storytelling at its finest. The character development was unbelievably good. The attention to detail to the make up, setting and amazing dialogue especially from william cutting (daniel day lewis) with a couple of monologues. I loved the intensity and grit that this film has. The politics that heavily influenced the main message of the film which I think is great. At the end it just shows how much hardship new york itself has had throughout history. Fantastic film very much worth a watch.

This film was brilliant. The whole exposition at the start really boosted the subtext of it wow. I really liked the dialogue I think it created great tension especially with the sofa scene. The replay of shots I thought was really unique and was a very interesting choice. At first I didn’t expect the film to feel so eerie but it really was. The use of cam corder and tv was really cool in my opinion, I have not seen something like that and that ending was brilliant. The only thing it’s a bit ironic kevin spacey being the main character.
