Poor Things 2023
Kind of loved this. Very reminiscent of Fellini, especially the boat visuals and grotesque imagery.
I didn’t see this to be about female liberation necessarily but more generally about societal restrictions on the psyche — Freudian/jungian themes that can only really be explored via hypothetical worlds.
But aside from any commentary, this was just enjoyable and somewhat hilarious.
