Exc! Had read book so somewhat prepped, but appreciated Spike’s twists (and feather-flopping strut); and particularly liked trip to Mecca and real footage towards the end.

So many layers of empathy across the lines. So many guns, but only two shots fired. Sonny whipping up the crowd w his white hankie. A classic (and Inside Man inspiration) aging very well.

Great movie! I loved the in-film previews that were developed later in the context of story. Opening chicken scene sets tone for entire film, and is fully explained by conclusion. Relevant, dramatic, beautiful, sad and happy … has it all. A+!
