    they dont make em like they used to!
    a popcorn classic
    2 trips down the hall to the stinky bathroom to pee
    stumble out from the theater bleery eyed and overwhelmed 2hrs later to get to your car and drive proudly back to your american suburb swelling with jingoistic pride cloaked in 90s sarcasm and irony...
    if you can't get swept away by what truly may be the epitome of this lost form of big sweeping swing for the fences movie, you've got problems, kid

    i feel like ive watched the first part of this movie before... i remembered jeff bridges finding a rifle in a hole in the floor of some building.

    last time, i never got past that point.


    there's a bit of dated screwball energy in this, some jokes and gags land a bit on the nose, some of the character actors actors try too hard to ham it up... but for the most part this is great especially bridges and houston (both in classic and rare form)

    only idiots think they're smart and this movie thinks its a genius. made for a generation that literally can't be bothered with anything before the towers fell.
    the cohens exist, as do the safdies, as does michael bay...
