- intricate, engaging story

- a few great shots (early when Florence was walking around, late when Julien was getting arrested)

Not a perfect film but really enjoyed the experience watching it

- sadder than I was expecting
- shorter than i was expecting too
- thought it nailed a lot of the moments but it did seem quick on some
- did well in terms of getting in your head: I found myself flipping back and forth on if it was a conspiracy or not

during movie:
- why is the opening credits scene so mesmerizing 
- kids are always being told what to do, messengers, etc
- the little boy was teasing his sister about the rat, and then the rat is the catalyst for the wife to get a hand maid
- “two men eat. one man die. i don’t know. you don’t know.”
- sweet pack of cigarettes 
- clear themes: cigarettes, rat poison, piano
- the housemaid becomes the wife and the wife becomes the housemaid
