  A lot of comparisons to Nolan's trilogy. The Dark Knight was probably a better movie overall in terms of nailing each facet of moviemaking with but The Batman certainly has its own unique take. 

  My movie-watching group just did a marathon of the 4 90's Batman movies as well as Nolan's trilogy. Carrey's Riddler was particularly annoying so I really loved this take on him. 

  I appreciated the simplifying of Batman down to his essentials without unrealistic gadgetry. I feel…

  Holmes & Watson 2018

  I sneaked into this after seeing Mary, Queen of Scots. I wanted to see if it was as bad as they said. 

  It was. 

  Ferrell and Reilly usually have great chemistry, but I just don’t think the script was there. Jokes were obvious and over-told. Dwelling on them for far too long. A lot of the jokes were about current events which furthermore limits what little humor it had to a (hopefully) smaller timeframe. 

  That gave it this feeling of a Scary/Epic/Not-Another-Teen Movie vibe which is certainly not up my alley. 

  I saw it for free, and I still want my money back.
