Whisper of the Heart 1995
An underestimated Studio Ghibli work, with a gentle, ambling pace. It suffers a little from an identity crisis, but still manages to have a lovely message about young love and passion for the creative.

In an accidental marathon of "movies about assassins not actually assassinating people" - a larger genre than you'd think - this was the most enjoyable and coherent of the bunch. It's not perfect or staggeringly original, but it more than manages to be genuinely entertaining thanks to a very talented cast and some very funny (and a few poignant) bits.
