  Oh my heart.

  This film is beyond anything I could have ever anticipated. Stunning imagery (thank you 70mm film), fabulous playfulness with light and shadow, extremely talented cast, attention to cultural detail and subtext, and the script is really something to behold. A deeply emotional commentary on Jewish identity, immigration, colonialism, assimilation, and the things a person can endure when blinded by and passionately in love with one’s dream.
