I really enjoyed this movie. It felt more rooted in the messages trying to be conveyed then an actual rom-com. The editing does seem to be mentored towards a younger generation which may come off as cringy to other people. There were some funny moments but there were more moments of uncomfortable confrontations; which makes me say this was more about putting you in their shoes then trying to be a rom-com. Thought Jonah Hill did a good job for playing a romantic and Eddie Murphy brought some comedy with some more serious lines.

A feel good twist of 101 Dalmatians. The movie will leave the usual Disney audience feeling happy with a redeemable story arc of the evil Cruella; however this film is far from great. An action packed pure James Gunn film. The movie is filled with great performances by the cast and lives up to the comics as making a dc movie more grittier than family fun marvel. It contains tons of action and some redeemable story arcs that really make the viewer connect with the cast, completely unlike the first suicide squad. Prepare for a lot of cuts, but don’t mistake that with Bourne identity action. James Gunn knows when to show the brutality of a scene and still makes up for it with witty comedy when some things are too violent. Great use of cgi and practical effects.

A movie that will leave the viewer with a lot of questions but somehow sticks to the feeling of a King Arthur folklore. The movie is visually spectacular besides a couple of scenes with a cgi character. If you enjoy camera + visual storytelling this movie is fantastic but at some times you might feel the movie is a little drawn out. However, after saying that, every scene is important and will leave the viewer guessing how the story will end.
