This could have been so good as a coming of age m film but in my opinion it was corrupted with the political parts which were extremely annoying and overblown. Cinematography was beautiful, music was used well, and i learnt that male teenage friendship is indeed complicated.

Let’s just say I had to change my pants after watching this one… Jokes aside, the movie is surprisingly deep. It’s about letting yourself be seen, especially the parts you’re most ashamed of. The scene that will stick with me: Samuel holding her as she sobbed after she “let go” (ie squirted 😂) on the disgusting hotel floor. Total ego death — babygirl needed that.
