An interesting and confusing take to shoot a film. A story of revenge and values by asking what really is right or wrong. A man slowly succumbing to the underbelly of society. With one deadly mistake, Jacob Harlon, a normal loving husband became corrupted in prison. This movie just feels tragic from beginning to end. It explores the impact a prison can have on a man. Having clean records and a happy family would be for nothing once you're inside a prison. A story of unexpected friendship, from two different worlds, two different personalities, and two different values. If only I could watch this as a live musical, I would. Cynthia Erivo as Elphada is a match made in heaven. This girl never disappoints, may that be her acting or her ability to raise the roof with her voice. Ariana Grande as Glinda, on the other hand, can be better but she's funny as fuck. Cynthia and Ari as a duet would definitely make you turn your chair for them cause together, they're unlimited! I can't wait for part 2!
