Its a good message.

Unfortunately it relies on a "test" that is not what it claims to be.
It is a naive critique of what the gene centric position even says about genetic determinism.

it undermines its own central message by allowing him to live out his "mistake" so he can learn the lesson and remove the protective girdle.
he gets rewarded for being the opposite of honorable and brave.
what a horrible message. subversive even.
the original poem has been desecrated with this ugly story.
this movie smells bad.
