The story of the production of this movie is utterly chaotic and not in a positive way. I would've loved to watch a director's cut and definitely am going to read the original novel.
Right after watching the movie this time, found out that there is a fresh black and white cut. Looking forward to watching it soon.

As usual Curtis oscillates between miriads of different complex topics: economy, colonialism, ideology, science, politics, etc… And does this quite skillfully. The story of George R. Price deeply amazed me, the whole life of this person touches the very extremes, simultaneously criticizing both rationality and faith. Supposingly Adam Curtis is not very fond of Freud, but this movie matches psychoanalytical concepts quite well — histeria and the master discourse are undoubtedly the underlying topics of the movie.
This year's Oscar is something else. First Anora, then this piece of garbage.
