honestly a tough watch (mainly because anything that makes me too emotional is always difficult for me) but i’m glad i did watch it — as i dive deeper into my study of the japanese occupation in korea, i think the story of 유관순 was a piece of it that really puts things into perspective for me.
loved the use of black and white, i think it really communicated the theme of the film well. overall, this film was beautifully shot and i will be thinking about it for days to come.
