  Kneecap (2024) is loud, wild, and full of energy. I don’t know much about Irish culture, but the music pulled me in it’s raw and addictive. The story has a rough, bold feel with humor and attitude, making it a fun and memorable watch.

  Paddington 2 is proof that pure kindness can defeat prison, crime, and even a grumpy Brendan Gleeson. This little bear turned a whole jail into a five star bakery and still had time to clear his name. If Paddington ran for president, I’d vote twice.

  Mamiya is my favorite antagonist in any film I've seen recently. He's very menacing despite not being a physically imposing guy. The scenes where he's (seemingly) wandering around in a daze asking the same questions over and over puts you ill at ease even before you figure out what his deal is. It makes you feel unsafe, especially whenever there's a shot of him looking into the camera.
