i didn’t expect to dislike this as much as i did. i don’t respect luca as a director - there is so much more depth to this, which he glosses over in what ends up being a feeble attempt at being sexy.

i think this movie is perfect because it understands itself. it knows that it was doomed from the beginning, because to do justice (pun intended) to the moral quandary necessarily meant that there was no way to make the end feel 'satisfying'. nicolas hoult was incredible, maybe i will finally get around to watching warm bodies lol
