This was such an interesting movie to me that it didn’t even feel like 3 hours! Scorsese shot this so different from his other movies, it almost felt like a documentary at times. Leo and Lily Gladstone are incredible, and it’s so refreshing to see Leo and De Niro be incredibly deep in their characters to the point where I’m questioning motivations.
I also want to hate white racists more and more. The atrocities in this movie (particularly scenes when someone dies) are so visceral and hate-inducing, it’s horrible. What a film. I wasn’t blown away (hence the 4) but I was hooked!
