I went to see this movie when it first came out in theatres, by myself. At the time my favourite film was The Dark Knight (still a masterpiece), but up until that point I only cared for dark, brooding movies. I honestly only bothered to see La La Land because Hideo Kojima recommended it, but boy am I glad I decided to; this film was the transition point between an outdated era of my life and a happier one.
