As someone born and raised in Columbus Indiana who has since gone to college and realized that he misses his home, this movie hits harder.
I remember when I was in middle school and this movie was all everyone was talking about. A friend of mine talked about seeing the set downtown. My brother went to the premiere and got John Cho to sign a Star Trek 2009 dvd.
It took me 7 years to watch this movie, and it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. The cinematography alone was magnificent. That paired with my nostalgia for home made for a beautiful experience.
