We begin with equality. That's the origin, isn't it? That's balance. That's - that's fairness. That's justice.
Difficult to watch this and not think about current day situations. Makes one yearn for more leaders who are actually decent and care about the greater good rather than self interests… or bare minimum, aren’t complete racists.
If we submit ourselves to law, even submit to losing freedoms, the freedom to oppress, for instance, we may discover other freedoms previously unknown to us.…

How this wasn’t a massive hit, I shall never understand.

Having not seen the color version, gotta say the black and white really adds to the overall feel of this - especially as a remake of the original 1954 Godzilla. Also probably helped the VFX a bit, which weren’t bad overall.
Godzilla sure did walk very oddly (and slowly) on land though, and in the end I wished the movie had a little more bite to it (no pun intended), but this is one of the better entries in the Godzilla-verse.
