The Long Goodbye 1973
Elliot Gould is super cool and sexy as Philip Marlowe. I love just about any movie set in old L.A. A surprise appearance by Jim Bouton, which makes the casting extra genius. Robert Altman’s classic pacing of film-a little wandering, but I like it every time I watch an Altman film. The film is worth more appreciation than it gets.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning 2023
He did it again. Tom Cruise saves the movies, and specifically MOVIE THEATERS because it is an absolute must to see this in a theater. My favorite franchise in all of entertainment. Great stunts, INCREDIBLE camera work, good script, and solid acting. I can see the creation of the next gen MI team (CIA guys, Grace, and Paris) and I’m here for it. Shout out to Shea Whigham, who I have seen around-most recently in Perry Mason-and like a lot. Best summer blockbuster in years. Hats off to Christopher McQuarrie. Five F**king Stars Bitches.
