Raising Arizona 1987
Cage and the Coen’s caught me off guard with this wholesome and genuinely hilarious piece of art. Even the cheesiness works great with the plot, and it’s hard to have any critique. True Americana- the underbelly not often portrayed.

Punch-Drunk Love 2002
Even Barry can find love, that gives me hope. As always with PTA it’s beautifully shot, and it had more guts than I’m used to expecting from a rom-com. The chaos all quiets down when you find the one that gets you, it’s like you can finally breathe.
I think Barry threw the hammer through that window; I guess we will never know.

The Brutalist 2024
It had been a while since a movie has given me the chills- but this experience had me with goosebumps from the opening scene. Everytime that score would hit and the horns would blow- my goosenips would return. From the acting to the score, every shot in the movie felt crafted and tied together beautifully.
The intermission was necessary for my brain to readjust- and it somehow added so much more to the second part of the film.
