  As a fan of Kubrick’s “The Shining”, I loved that Mike Flanagan didn’t try to copy or to surpass “The Shining”, but to honor it. It feels so genuine and at the same time it feels so connected.

  It expands the lore of this universe and loved to learn more and more from it. 

  The references to The Shining were genious, not fan-servicie or forced. It’s a great sequel and also a great film by itself. From start to finish, its a concrete and coherent film for people who havent seen Kubrick’s.

  I have never seen a space movie like this one before; if you can even call it that. 
  I felt it as a film about human understanding, about solitude and growth, about human relationships. All the space stuff was the environment of the story, but not the story per se, nor the thing that drove it. 

  
  I enjoyed it completely. I left the seat I was seated and entered the void of space since the beggining. I will remember this movie like none other.
