It’s not for everyone, but I found it to be a revelation. Refreshingly bold and beautiful and vulgar, a world I feel like I’ve never seen before, and a main character that is a captivating tour de force, ever-shifting and evolving through the film to intelligently reflect the chaos and horror and philosophy that unfolds around her. Many grim things happen, but some light and delicate moments, too. And plenty that are very funny.
