arguably the greatest western in cinematic history; the performances are exceptional, and the film is meticulously crafted, with care and detail even in the most minor background characters. a magnificent masterpiece. such intricate craftsmanship feels almost impossible to replicate in today’s cinema. and clint… those piercing eyes unchanged, even 60 years ago.
though i couldn't find the same magic from the first film in the next two, it was a sweet and beautiful farewell to the trilogy. i consider it the most enjoyable trilogy in the mcu.

i started watching with some prejudice because i'm not generally close to anime and because i'm in love with the universe. while i can't say it was a perfect film, it was enjoyable. it was a pleasant saga that made you feel like middle-earth is a vast and living universe.
