I'm not going to this film for an emotional revolution (though it does have heart). It's such a love letter to fight co-ordinators and stuntees. It's fun. I had a wonderful time watching it. The fights and stunts are truly impressive. Some set ups you can see coming but they're played out in a way that's still satisfying. I would watch this film again.Translated from by

I'd watch Barbie on repeat. It's fun, plus the existential dread mixed with callouts against sexist behaviour is refreshing. Meeting feminine stereotypes is an impossible task and having that bullshit dragged for filth felt great. Outside of the core messages being fantastic, the production is extremely well designed and crafted. Hair, props, set - all of it was kind of insane. I feel very much that this film was written with those of us who grew up with Barbie in mind; the sentimentality is used well in exploring the expectations leveled at our younger selves moving forward into what will make us actually happy as adults.
