Second half of the film had potential but quickly fell into the same pattern as the first half where we are just lost in a repetitive loop with little character development. Can’t feel empathetic for characters we never really meet. (Igor tho)
Also Brooklyn is more than a shot of the cyclone. Zero NYC culture overall made it feel like a void.
Daniel Blumberg’s score, reminiscent of Greenwoods work in Spencer, gives us a reminder of what creativity in film music sounds like. It’s raw, unapologetic and story driven.
This film’s success begets creative risks and growth in this recently stagnant industry.
Some of the best cinematography of the year. I don’t necessarily wish the movie was a limited series, but it did feel like a lot of the story went untold. 4 stars cause although Tucci is a great actor, it was the one cast member that continuously took me out of the story.
