This one is for the girls and the gays. And if you love 90s NY house/party music. This movie checked all my boxes and was completely up my alley. Mary and Moustafa are so hot together! Relatable movie if ur a club girl, for better or for worse!

My bar for new movies is in hell, so I thought at first that this was reeeeallly good. Great experience in theaters even if its a little slow. Visually speaking, they absolutely nailed the setting. The Count is pretty boring though, and there is not much going on in this film. I kept waiting for the pace to ramp up and it never quite delivered. I was hoping for more of a gothic thriller, but I always keep expectations low. Overall it was a good time, but not as exciting or satisfying as Eggers other title The VVitch.

The Devil Wears Prada 2006
Very close and dear to my heart as a nostalgia movie. No one talks about the excessive San Pellegrino sparkling water product placement in this, its really heavy in the beginning. Meryl Streep is an icon here. But ultimately this movie has a very empty capitalist message. They wrote the friends as shitty people on purpose to illustrate the idea that you can't rely on anyone. Don't believe the propaganda you're being actively fed here. Either way tho, I love Anne Hathaway.
