I’ll need to watch a couple more times to fully understand this movie, but if you like a brain bender this one does the job.

The beginning of the film made me think it was going to be a cross between boogie nights and Texas chainsaw massacre. But the symbolism with the letter X, the juxtaposition between abjection and objectification, and the slasher genre being followed while stylistically broken made this movie a favorite in my book. I don’t usually like gore, but this was artful horror.
