  a bit on the nose and hollow conceptually, but i like NWR’s cinematography and music choices enough to keep me interested. this mustve been sooo expensive to film for only a 7min final product

  yeah its a motorcycle ad but the bike looks great so i really cannot complain

  a true surrealist experience that harks back to the experimental works of Maya Derren, The Lighthouse manipulates the senses. Eggers uses light and shadow to confidently craft striking images that inform the viewer of the deepening insanity of the two main characters. the motif of the horrid foghorn sound pulls the viewer into the same experience as them as they are trapped in damp monotony. whatever the characters experience, the viewers experience all the same.

  fantastic amazing perfect

  the color-grading, which definitely can be considered a bolder choice for its distinctive lack of colors, was an excellent decision that curated the perfect hopeless & aged effect. everything was cold and dark with impending doom just around the corner. i loved the way this was edited, with the transitions between cuts being particularly interesting and thoughtful. the use of lighting was so good i cannot imagine the amount of planning that went into it— everything is shot…
