My Jewish father passed away recently. When it got to the scene where they put stones on the grave, I turned to my girlfriend and said, “I haven’t gotten to put rocks on my dad’s grave yet.” And immediately began sobbing.

Times Square 1980
While it is dated for a few reasons, it is such a wholesome yet so very punk movie.
It’s a coming of age movie but tackles very serious sociopolitical themes and it has a great portrayal of community protesting. Its also feminist as fuck.
Punk’s not dead and will never be dead as long as we keep making music and saying “fuck you” to the man.

When Evil Lurks 2023
Horrifying. Fantastic special fx and some truly gruesome and disturbing scenes. I have small nitpicks with the script here and there. Namely how people are really quick and accepting of demon possession as if it’s as normal as a shooting. As in, it’s entirely possible but unlikely to happen to you, if you get what I’m saying. Otherwise a great horror.
