What a bummer…didn’t like this at all!
Completely lost in the sauce and not as fun of a watch as I felt I was promised! Great to watch Hugh Grant vamp for the first 45 minutes, but then, okay, you’re losing me here.

A tie for cinematic gold is the little aliens and the people getting swallowed. They are at complete different ends of the spectrum from humor to horror, and it’s perfect.
Don’t know what I was expecting with this one, but it left me awfully cold. It’s incredibly bleak and subtly sad. The sound design was so crazy bizarre and just cutting the sound completely drive my crazy, but I get it, I guess? I felt so alone and also claustrophobic in this? The acting is strong, and yet it feels mundane. I think it was bizarre for a play adaption to to focus so heavily on it’s setting. I mean, it’s perfect but hard to watch.
If you’re looking for a movie that makes you not want to move to New York, this is it.
