So the Puss In Boots Anime is pretty good

Great to see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse encouraging the adapotion of cel shading in a big release like this. Hopefully more animated films will feel the confidence to use a greater diversity of styles.

The narrative is pretty good to with likable characters and touching on interesting themes, most predominantly death. They have lots of very brave creative choices for a film directed towards children but the film still remains appropriate for kids.

It's amazing how a short film with such a silly premise can hold such a level of quility, colour and creativity

The warm filters combined with a retro aspect ratio provide a strangely comforting watch for a film about the death of a Beatle. It's attractive shots of The Lake District and amusing premise give an enjoyable watch.

I also really enjoy the "A Hard Day's Night" style montage used in part of the film.
