Very strange film that leaned into the weirdness with just enough tongue-in-cheek humor to be funny. The “twist” at the very end was the best part of the movie, though to be honest, all these cult movies (movies about cults) end up just seeming like the same film to me. It was enjoyable, but likely not worth a rewatch. Incredible performance by John Malkovich!

Western animation is finally catching up! Cute. Striking. Beautiful. I was completely blown away by this film! Absolutely biased as a cat owner, but how did they NAIL all the little mannerisms?? From the ear twitches to the dilating eyes… wow! Not to mention, the story was just super wholesome and heartwarming. Despite no dialogue, all the animals’ personalities really shined through!!

I’m really not a big fan of biopics, and to be honest, I know very little about Bob Dylan. However, this movie exceeded my expectations about the genre, and I had a lot of fun watching Dylan‘s early career as portrayed in this film. Timothée Chalamet was terrific, as was Norton and some of the other actors we see portray industry titans of that time. The runtime felt a bit long, but the soundtrack and the way it was used was incredible!

My Old Ass 2024
In a movie about meeting your future self, the message is all about living in the present. Tender theme with lots of genuine laughs. It was a very fast-paced film, and as a result, I’m worried I didn’t connect with some of the characters like I should have. While some of the themes perhaps didn’t resonate with me like they might other audiences, I loved the universal theme of not being paralyzed by the future… or the past.
