  I read a review of this movie that said it was both progressive and regressive and I would definitely agree. Really creepy gross close ups of the runners, very male gaze driven cinematography. Yet really interesting love story and ahead of its time in some ways. Interesting themes and very complex and interesting characters. The ending was kinda annoying but cute, also good historical context and who doesn’t love a good sports movie.
