Lost in Translation 2003
Studying abroad made me relate to this movie in a spiritual level I didn't think was possible. It so happens that the country I'm studying in is also Japan, makes this movie something that feels super personal and relatable.

The First Omen 2024
Didn’t expect it to be this good.
It had a great cohesive story, and lived up to its legacy. Some scenes were like a love letter to older horror movies such as: that scene in Pulse, and the Possession’s subway scene which were amazing.
The horror was subtle, some jump-scares here and there. What made Omen: The First good though, was the tension of the scenes and its sound design. Definitely best seen in theaters.

This review is probably going to be a hot take so bear with me.
Since I’ve never watched a Ghibli movie in theaters, wanted to watch this as its Miyazaki Hayao’s last movie (according to him). An interesting aspect about this ghibli movie is that it wasn’t marketed at all. No trailer, only one poster, and we didn’t know anything about the story except the book readers.
