I don’t know, there’s something I just really didn’t like about Heathers. It’s pretty clearly a satire of John Hughes “real” high school 80s classics, movies that I’m not particularly familiar with outside of general cultural knowledge. Almost genius. The cast is a murderer’s row, and the cameos are perfect. The driving hate for the laziness in Ray and Walk the Line infuses Walk Hard with more urgency than most of Apatow’s work.
