  this film is brutal and undoubtedly a hard watch, but so, so important. so many people have been so desensitized to the reality of Jesus’s sacrifice. what He went through was the most horrific death someone could endure at that time. He paid the wages of our sin having done nothing to deserve it. while this film is gory, disturbing, and harrowing, it is also so incredibly beautiful. the crucifixion of Christ is the deepest and truest testament of love.
